In the past, it was once a logging town that began to decline and then the city brought the town back to life and modeled itself after a Bavarian alpine town.
Tourists will find that there are several things to do in Helen, GA with the nearby area being a very natural setting in the Chattahoochee National Forest.

For me, there really isn’t a best time of year to visit Helen since in the summer time the water tubing park is open, in fall Oktoberfest is lively, and during winter the Christmas season gives this place a magical feel.
