In this photo these are bottlenose dolphins which means they have more of a beak whereas porpoises have a more rounded face.
Dolphins seem to prefer more shallow water and are carnivores. You might come across a school of fish jumping out of the water frantically and it’s possible there’s a dolphin just underneath trying to get a meal.
One interesting fact about dolphins is that they eat fish and squid mostly and have a tactic of herding the fish into a ball and then attacking the ball to get the most out of their efforts.
