The Daytona Beach Main Street pier & boardwalk have long been a place of interest in the area with this old coquina bridge connecting the boardwalk to the pier that proclaims "Welcome to Daytona Beach".
The Daytona Beach Main Street pier & boardwalk area has been one of the most recognized landmarks in Daytona Beach.
This old coquina bridge connecting the boardwalk to the pier proclaims “Welcome to Daytona Beach” and has visitors utilizing it year round.
Before beach driving was banned on several large stretches of beach, this used to be a main entrance that cars would drive through and then park right in front of the boardwalk in the sand.

Local businesses including arcades, go-carts, restaurants, and even a large ferris wheel entertained people and helped make Daytona a popular place of travel in Florida.
Since then, this area seems to have struggled trying to find what it wants to become and hopefully one day revitalizes into something amazing again.
The one question I have and wonder what most people think is what made Daytona Beach into “The World’s Most Famous Beach”?
